Purple Yams

In the Bay Area, there is a lot of different cuisine. Eric and I have eaten Indian-French fusion, Thai, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese food. The other day I had Korean tofu- very interesting. Another pharmacist I work with bought me purple yams to cook. Apparently, you can only buy them at special Asian grocery stores. They are a bright purple on the inside and taste really good. Here is a picture of ones that I cooked for us.

Bike Riding in Silicon Valley

When Eric and I moved to Silicon Valley, it seemed that everyone was riding a bike. We saw people riding bikes to the grocery store, work, and for fun. Eric bought a bike before I even arrived so he could ride to the hospital. It is green- his favorite color. He even has all of the gear for the bike. Here is a picture of him arriving home from work on his bike. He fits in so well here in Silicon Valley!

A few weeks ago we bought me a bike so we could go riding on the weekends here in Palo Alto. I haven't ridden a bike in forever. It is a lot of fun to get back on one! We have so much fun riding together.

Tennis Tournament

Eric and I bought tickets the quarter-finals of the tennis tournament at Stanford University. That night we saw Venus Williams and Maria Sharapova play each other. It was very neat! The people behind us were cheering for Sharapova in Russian. I was cheering for Venus, and she won!

Eric and I at the match. We kept calling home to see if either of our families saw us on ESPN2.

I cooked dinner for Eric on his birthday. He said it was the best meal I have ever cooked; however, I have not cooked that many. He loved it!

Half Moon Bay

Eric and I went to Half Moon Bay in early July to check out the beach. It was really foggy that day, but we still enjoyed it. Eric enjoyed catching a nap on the beach since he had a day off from work.

CA Visitors

Annie came to visit in July. We had wonderful mojitos and Korean food. We also did some shopping and toured Stanford.

Tabitha and Mark were in Palo Alto visiting her brother. We met up with them at NOLA's in downtown Palo Alto.

Eric's parents made the trip with him to Palo Alto, and my Mom and sister made the trip with me. While they were here, we did some site seeing. I will upload Eric's pictures later because he lost the cord to his camera. :)

Honeymoon

Eric and I went to Riviera Maya for our honeymoon. The resort was great, and the weather was perfect. We ate lots of food and relaxed in the sun. We also took a trip to Tulum to the ancient Mayan ruins. It was beautiful! We had a great honeymoon!
